The Problem
A 15-storey commercial office tower had been maintained under AS 1851 for years, but had never had formal baseline data established. Maintenance reports were comparing current readings to nothing — there was no documented benchmark.
The Challenge
The building had hydrant, sprinkler and detection systems across 15 levels with no commissioning records available. The maintenance contractor could not verify whether readings were acceptable because there was no reference point.
